English Romeo and Irish Juliet, set in the Middle Ages. A man washes up on the Irish coast and is nursed back to health by a young woman. The two fall in love, and she must hide him in order to protect him. They struggle to find a way to be together.

This can only loosely be considered a chick flick. There is a ton of action, swords, blood, etc., but just enough romance and emotion to fit into the category. The story is entertaining, the action is intense, and the love story is bearable. This is another example of a movie that you will like, but may not necessarily score you any points with your chick.
