This is an original comedy/drama about a young girl who becomes pregnant. She must navigate the difficulties of telling her parents and friends. She is also faced with the decision of what to do next? She explores the options, including giving the baby up for adoption.
I did not know what to expect when I first saw this movie. The sarcastic, rebellious tone of the movie immediately made it unique. The serious theme of the movie is in contrast to the irreverent, but hilarious dialogue and interactions between the main characters. Ellen Page delivers a complex, funny, emotional, and captivating performance. She vividly portrays a character who is both tough and tender. You will find yourself really concerned for this girl, and caring what happens to her. You want her to make the right decision, but asking yourself what exactly the “right” decision would be in her situation. This is one of the few movies that I have watched several times, that is how much I like it. I think you will too.
